Family Tree of Grandfather’s

December 21st, 2007 by Nanna

Family Tree’s are too complicated to explain briefly. And really, quite boring to anyone but family members. So best I just pop up a collection of photo’s with their relationship to our Yet-To-Be-Born-Grandson. Just a matter of how many Greats need to be added! Of course, these are just the Grandfather’s on my side of the family. Some rather stern looking old Grandfather’s I might add, but I think that’s just the nature of the photo’s of the era. What a shame some of the photo’s are so old and fuzzy, still, I’m grateful to have them.

I’ll start with Gra (short for Graham for those who don’t know). He’d would like to be called Pop or Poppy. I say would like because you never know what you’ll end up being called. I know of one Pop who ended up being called Posh. My own Grandfather was called Da instead of Pa. My father wanted to be called Grandpa, but he got called Papa.

How neat that you have so many generations of pictures available to you! My mom’s been sending me stuff like this as well and I just find it fascinating! I didn’t get anyone as far back as 6 greats tho, I think the oldest sent to me was C. 1890’s, but no less interesting!
