Nanna’s Journey

Tyson is filling out all his clothes and getting more and more cuddly by the day. The first milestones are happening; he’ll focus on your face and as you talk to him, he is starting to give you delightful little smiles showing one dimple in his right cheek! He has began to make his very first “Cooooo” sounds. Lifting his head up, holding it and turning from side to side when having “tummy-time” shows just how much stronger he is. Sleeping a 6 hour stretch at night – he really is an easy, contented baby.

He is just so gorgeous and adorable I want to squeeze him tight and kiss him forever. I love him to pieces.

…then nervously running off to hide.

I get asked this a lot.

It’s hard to tell at such an early age. And in just a week, they can change so much. It’s funny to listen to everyone examining his features, voicing who they think he looks like. Different opinions. Excitedly recognising expressions. For now, I’m game enough to say I think he looks just like Erin, knowing that this may well be a fleeting likeness.

I’m really impressed at all the perfect little inked foot prints everyone else seems to manage. The first foot I dabbed on too much ink whilst Erin held his squirming foot as still as she could. Suddenly, Tyson is not so sleepy after all and has brilliant reflexes!

So we have ended up with one heel-smudged heavily inked footprint and the other footprint where Tyson wriggled and curled his toes as we pressed his foot giving the impression *rolls eyes* he has an almighty abnormal gap between his toes.

No way were we going to attempt the impossible task of inked handprints!

Erin was given a plaster hand/foot kit as a gift (thanks Wendy) that we will tackle at the one-month-old (next week!) milestone. Fingers crossed we don’t muck that up!

Here are last weeks inking efforts, his official two week old 8cm long messy but oh-so-cute footprints!

Today Tyson is three weeks old – how time is flying. He is growing like a weed and now completely fills out his 000 wondersuits for a perfect fit ..and has us all totally adoring him.

Pure joy.

Sleepy yawns.
