Well, YOU eat it.

Erin, Tyson & I have just arrived home after a great week long holiday in Victoria catching up with most of my side of the family. Graeme & Sharon, Camille, Marlene & Ron, Lisa & Damian, Bim & Clarke, Alanah, Jessie, Tom, Lauren, Rhys, Maya, Ada and of course, Dad. It was really wonderful to see you all!

Tyson travelled exceptionally well, considering we left home around 7:30am to drive to Brisbane airport, flew to Melbourne, then hired a car to drive 2.5 hours to Numurkah, stopping for a short break arriving around 4pm. Travelling just as well on the long trip home.

Tyson meets his Great-Grandfather Papa, my Dad [85], for the first time.

Tyson, 5½ months, sits unaided on Saturday 13th for the very first time. Emma sits at a safe distance from those grabbing hands! Don’t you just love the arms-out for balance!
Of course, kids and babies are attracted to each other like magnets. Tyson had a ball with his many 2nd cousins.

Enjoying a Rusk for the first time.
So this is your first Father’s Day,
Your first one as a dad;
Get ready for surprises now,
The wildest you’ve ever had.
Just when you think you’ve got it down,
There’s a new and different stage;
This little person changes a lot
With each fascinating age.
Being a dad takes all you’ve got;
Your heart and mind you’ll invest;
It’s the hardest job you’ll ever have,
And the one you’ll love the best.

Darla & Bully, Erin & Gav’s Staffies, together with Harry and Sally wait patiently in the ‘ol Beach Beasty for their trip to the beach. Darla & Bully consider themselves to be far superior to the Golden’s and sit up in Business Class.

The Southport Spit (referred to by locals as The Spit) lies opposite Southport to the north of Main Beach, Gold Coast. It is a permanent sand spit that separates the Southport Broadwater from the Pacific Ocean.

The months are flying by so fast now and at 8.74kgs Tyson is thriving! Yesterday he put his arms out for the very first time to be picked up *melt lucky me* and today he passed an object from one hand to the other. He has also stopped blindly shoving things into his mouth – he stops and examines things first. Tiny, mindless things to us adults, but big achievements for a baby!
All wrapped up like a sausage, ready to go off to sleep for his morning nap.

Shhhhh….
