Friday, October 10th, 2008Tyson’s nursery is very tiny and now he’s beginning to enjoy playing on the floor with his toys, Erin has decided to move him into his own permanent bedroom. It will be a much cooler room too, with a sliding door opening up onto the patio for a cool breeze on those hot summer nights.
So each time I come up to babysit when Erin cuts hair, while he’s having his naps I’ve been busy painting his new bedroom. The room was previously a dark taupe, which has taken 3 coats of paint to cover it! Such a big difference - it’s made the whole room look so much bigger and brighter. I think Erin has the bigger job now of moving everything from the nursery as the cot will have to be dismantled, and there just seems to be so much “stuff” in that nursery!
As Erin and Gav are going to a wedding this weekend, Tyson is coming home with me today to stay for 2 nights. I marvel at how lucky am I.

Friday, October 10th, 2008Most babies blow raspberries for fun ..but when Tyson is annoyed cranky, he vents all his frustration by blowing huge raspberries, and somehow, at the same time he manages to say mum-mum-mmummma!

First Sleepover
Wednesday, October 1st, 2008Tyson had his first sleepover last night! He’s such a good sleeper; bathed, bottle & bed by 6:15pm and didn’t wake until 6:45am this morning. He’d barely opened one eye and Poppy went and got him out of his cot so we enjoyed cuddles and squeals of laughter in our bed. What an absolute JOY!
He had his 6 month pediatrician check up yesterday. Although a big baby [in the 90th percentile], he’s very well proportioned and will be nice and tall just like his Dad.
