Tyson in his walker is actually quite scary. He charges at you full speed and if you are too slow to leap out of his way (I’ve literally leaped up onto the kitchen bench) that walker will run over your toes and my God, it bloody hurts! Tyson gets up to full speed, lifts his feet up off the ground and coasts across the room – look out!!

I was sure had hoped we’d have a few more months of him just sitting. Content to stay put.
This morning the little Smartypants pulled himself up on Erin’s suitcase to a standing position – even waving his arm around to show off “Look, see, one hand!” He’s barely began to crawl. What’s the rush?
Erin & Tyson are flying down to Melbourne today for 10 days while Gav has gone up on the Reef for a couple of weeks with his Dad. So our house is noticeably quiet and already, we can’t wait for them to be back.
Gav, Erin & Tyson stayed the night at our place Christmas Eve, so we were all up blurry-eyed at the crack of dawn to watch Tyson rip open his very first Christmas present..
And afternoon pool fun..
Guess who’s finally worked out how to go from laying down up to a sitting position. Erin said it was so funny to see the back of his little bald head as he sat up in his cot facing the wall saying dad-dad-dad-dad-da. And yes, he was supposed to be asleep!
The crawling is still uncoordinated and slow, but he eventually gets to where he wants to go, or get what he’s not supposed to have!

Another milesone to record. Today Tyson started crawling on all fours. Albeit at a snails pace, very jerky and uncoordinated with moments of frustration. Until now he could only manage slithering backwards on his stomach. I guess it won’t take long for him to perfect this new skill so I better start seriously babyproofing our home and buying that playpen!
