Last night, Erin took Gra’s hand and placed it firmly on her belly.  Gra’s face lit up when he felt his Grandson move for the first time – that really is something special isn’t it.  He was moving around so much we could see Erin’s belly quiver and distorted lumps would appear.  Then when he had everyone’s attention, he teased us by laying perfectly still.  To a fly on the wall it must have looked a sight to see us all so focused and staring at Erin’s belly!

Erin and I were chatting about Papa who turned 85 on the 4th of January. Very independent, still driving and doing everything for himself. Apart from the aches and creaks that come with old age, he is in excellent health and sharp of mind. Walking his dog every day keeps him fit. He does tell the same story over and over, but at 85, he’s allowed!

“Gosh, if I make it to 80 I’d be pretty happy”

“Mum, you should aim higher than that! Aim for 100.”

“Okay, I’ll aim for 100.” And, after a moments thought… “Hey, I’d get to see you as an OLD lady. Happy 75th Erin and Happy 50th to my yet-to-be-born grandson!” We both break up laughing at the thought vision!

So imagine that.

Yep, I’m aiming for 100!
