Saturday, December 5th, 2009Our house.

Homer greets (he’s on a sensor) our guests ..and scares the living daylights out of everyone as he talks, sings and dances! He gets me time and time again!! Tyson is uncertain what to think.. who could blame him lol Oh, and he’s not really pink, it’s all the fairy lights reflecting off his red velvet suit.

All the kids in the street love him!!
O Christmas Tree
Saturday, December 20th, 2008
Toot-toot! Can you see the train? It plays Christmas carols and puffs smoke as it circles the tree. It came with over 40 feet of track, but with Tyson crawling it’s set up as a tight circle under the tree.

It’s Snowing?!? What the?
Sunday, December 7th, 2008It’s Summer. Extremely hot and humid. I live in a sub-tropical zone. Ain’t ever going to snow here. Us Aussies are obsessed with having pretending to have a white Christmas. Fake snow sprayed on windows (that takes 3 months to scrape off with razor blades), we send Christmas cards with snow scenes. As Erin & I lined up to have Tyson’s photo taken with Santa, kids squealed with delight on Santa’s train that’s tracks were covered in fake snow the kids couldn’t resist scooping up giving themselves what looked like a bad case of dandruff. Santa loses 10 kg sweltering in that red suit edged with white fur (is that supposed to be fake snow?) as he sits in his chair surrounded by cotton-wool snow at his feet. My own Christmas tree has a light dusting of fake snow on it’s branches. It’s near on impossible to buy anything Christmas-sy without a snowy show. Ah, but I love it. Wouldn’t be an Aussie Christmas without all that fake snow. Even those who say they hate it, secretly love it. So, I’m dream-ing of a White Christ-mas.. ,,,,,,,,,, ..if only on my blog! ,,,,,,,,,,,,*ain’t it purdy*
