Nanna's Journey
Tyson & Kaelyn
My Vegie Patch
It’s about 6 weeks along now and very exciting to see the first flowers and tiny vegetables beginning to form.
Sweet Corn, Tomatoes, Silverbeet, Beetroot, Mini cabbages, Strawberries, French Beans, Pumpkin, Watermelon, Bush Pickle & Lebenese Cucumber, Egg plant, Chilli, Red Capsicum, Lemons, Limes & a Passionfruit Vine.
On the third day after I’d planted my vegies, cockatoos flew down and ripped into my sweet corn! So Gav & Lee came to the rescue and built this amazing cover that will not only stop the birds, but possums as well! It’s high enough so I can easily stand up once inside tending to my crops.
Apollo Tomatoes
Cherry Tomatoes
Sweet Grape Tomato
Red Capsicum
Silverbeet
Beetroot grown out of season (opps) but doing surprisingly well. Luckily we have had a cool spring.
Mini Cabage
Chilli
Lots of Strawberries
Egg Plant. Such a surprise as I had no idea the flowers would be so pretty!
Watermelon
Bush Pickle & Lebenese Cucumber
Queensland Blue Pumpkin. I will train the pumpkins down the bank on the right.
French Beans
Lemons. I should have washed the all dirt off the leaves for the photo!
Thai Limes
All I need now are some chooks!
